In India we eat incopper plates. We use copper ‘kalash’ in prayers and rituals.

I think so, too. It tends to be overlooked in this “disposable” world. My rule is simple: if I buy it, I must use it. 👏

Lovely photo! I have a nice collection of copper and there are a couple of saute pans that I couldn’t do without. Such good heat conductors. What I don’t love is how quickly they lose their shine and have to be polished again.

Remember how Julia Child used to display her copper pieces on the wall? It was charming! 🍂

I do remember that! It is probably why I have all my copper hanging from a pot rack and hooks where I can see them every day. I remember my mom put up a pegboard in her kitchen just like Julia’s as well. It really was handy!

What a vivid memory! I saw Julia Child’s Kitchen at the Smithsonian two years ago. What a privilege. 🍃🌸

So glad you got to see it. It’s on my list of things to visit, one of these days. I’m sure I’ll feel right at home since I have seen it a million times!

Try Barkeeper’s Friend instead. It did an outstanding job for us. I use it on all my stainless steel cookware as well copper pieces. 👏

Thank you. The bed warmer you see actually had my initials already carved on it. I just had to buy it on sight!!! 👀🍃

But in the scheme of things, is it more costly?

Copper cookware is definitely more costly than stainless steel cookware, which is why I am limited to only a few pieces. I enjoy picking up accent pieces in antique shops. 👀🍃
