We always cut down our Christmas tree and one year we brought home a beautiful tree with a crooked trunk. It was almost dark at the Christmas tree farm and we didn’t notice at the time. Got it home and Gene had to keep sawing and sawing until the trunk stood upright in the tree stand. I cried as it was much shorter but once we decorated it, it didn’t matter any more.

Live trees present all kinds of challenges. I woke up one morning to a fully-decorated Christmas tree covered in tiny spun spider webs. And, yes, the bonus was they had spiders inside. 🕷

Oh, that’s awful Gail! What did you do? I would have thrown the tree outside and let Gene take off all the lights and ornaments and then we would go buy another one. I like spiders in my garden but don’t come in my home 🙂
