“The first fall of snow
is not only an event,
it is a magical event.
You go to bed in one kind of a world
and wake up in another quite different,
and if this is not enchantment
then where is it to be found?”
~ J.B. Priestley

So, bed is the border between two magical worlds 🙂

I spent some time catching up with your blog today and, as always, enjoying every post. If forced to choose my favorites, the winning recipe this time would be the sugar spun candy (tis the time of year perhaps that guided my selection of this yummy sounding delight). Also, as usual, I found the photographs/quotes worth studying, but this one, The First Snowflake, would win. The quote is marvelous; I’d never thought of the first snow as Priestley does, but his observation is perfect. I’ll never forget it. and the detailed beauty of your photograph captures the world I inhabit. Wonderful.

As always, Janet, you encourage me with sincerity and passion. I had forgotten how wonderful the sponge candy was. Sometimes we overlook the simple things forgetting how much joy they rekindle. My little pine tree is such a vision of serenity, especially when powdered with snow. Thanks very much for stopping by, and especially for making my day feel special. Blessings! 🍓
