Yes, you are totally right here. I think sometimes we are more in a mood to protect ourselves and the forgiveness is a way of letting it all go. But other times, we feed that self righteousness, or even self pity, and it’s harder to let it go, even though we should. You are so right that all we can do is keep trying.
