Absolutely. Things we dream of are a place to start and the initial motivation for that hard work to begin and more importantly; to be focused on when times get tough or we feel lazy. Focus on the dream that initially motivated the work, not the work. When you’re passionate about something, the effort you’re prepared to put in might be perceived by others as ‘work’ but for you it might be the same feeling as the gamer; an ‘exciting challenge’ hell-bent on getting to the next level. For me, learning new rhythms, new harmonic structures, new vocabulary for languages, that really hits the ‘challenge’ button & keeps me going. What about when what was an exciting challenge turns to ‘work’? Two things; a) making it turn back into an exciting challenge by focusing on the original reasons you wanted to do it; e.g. your dreams or b) forcing yourself to do something you don’t want to until motivation returns. I could drone one but for now, quotes like this are quotes for a reason.
Yes. beautiful words and an impactful message.

I love this quote. These days, difficult things are made to appear so easy – overnight fame, “viral” video” etc. There’s much more (rewarding) work to it! Thanks for the quote!
I agree. I mean, how many people know what “bite off more than you can chew” means? Or “don’t count your chickens before they hatch”? Perhaps we should “look before we leap” because “slow and steady wins the race”. lol 😜 Thanks for stopping by.

Working through the challenges and coming out the other side are baby steps worth celebrating, in my opinion. 👀
