Actually, Kerry, according to the National Wildlife Federation… “There are 1,300 mistletoe species worldwide. The continental United States and Canada are home to more than 30 species, and Hawaii harbors another six.
Globally, more than 20 mistletoe species are endangered.” Sounds like a quest for the elusive mistletoe is in your future. 👀🍃
I remember traveling in the French countryside a few years back. The driver of our tour van pointed out the mistletoe bundles at the tops of the trees. He explained how mistletoe plants derive the tree of nutrients and can kill it over time. That information made me sad. 🌳💦
But does mistletoe really work.. do people still kiss under the mistletoe..

I would if I saw any mistletoe. There seems to be no mistletoe is south Texas. I last saw it in Scotland so perhaps it is a cold weather plant?

Fascinating, Gail! No idea why I have never seen it here but I will Google it. Teddy might get lucky…😉

Although it is hard to find, when we hang it up, it has strong kissing magic! This might not be the year to hang it up though.
