Shells of a Former Life

“Words today are like the shells and

rope of seaweed which a child brings

home glistening from the beach and

which in an hour have lost their luster.”

  1. Lovely quote, but I disagree. Words, even today, carry weight into eternity.
“I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Jesus, Matthew 12:36-37

    • I picked up the most beautiful seashell left abandoned on the beach. Brought it home, and the next day it was as white as these. At least I have the photos of its natural beauty. 🐚
