When the Time is Right

“Let a man walk ten miles steadily

on a hot summer’s day along a

dusty English road, and he will soon

discover why beer was invented.”

~ Gilbert K. Chesterton

  1. Actually, I only have a tiny bit of rum left (the bottle has been slowly drained over 10 months) and a couple of home brews a friend gave me. When these are gone, that will be my last taste of alcohol until I drink it anew with our Lord in the New Jerusalem, assuming the angels ferment there(?).😉
Everything I’ve been reading lately warns of dangers of even small amounts of alcohol as we age. I knew from physiology and neurology courses in college that ANY amount of alcohol consumed destroys neurons in the brain. Just figured I had enough extras that it wouldn’t matter. But now, as I cross my seventh decade, I may not have as many left as I thought!🤠 Better to be safe.
