The “crowd” of Jews who sang Hosanna was NOT the same crowd of “the Jews” at the trial.
The first was all the country “bumpkins” who followed Jesus from Galilee and Judea who believed He was going to kick out the Romans.
The second were the Jerusalemites who did not want Him to upset their powers and way of life that accommodated the Romans.😉
