Jars of Clay

“You will never be happy

if you continue to search

for what happiness consists of.

You will never live if you are

looking for the meaning of life.”

  1. I used to love this writer and his work, but I don’t agree with his statement that there is no meaning of life. There is and I wrote a post about it. Judging how he ended his life, he was not as intelligent and a deep thinker, as one would like to believe.

PS. I love your jars of clay, Gail! I also have a few made in different countries by the village artists.

  2. Camus is right in the first part. Happiness is not found by searching for it directly; it is a byproduct of finding fulfillment in Jesus.
However, in the second part, he is completely absurd.
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.  For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Matthew 7:13-14
Only those who ask receive. Only those who seek find. Only those who knock find the door opening. Matthew 7:7
