Choosing Not to Complain

“When you complain, you make

yourself the victim. Leave the

situation, change the situation,

or accept it. All else is madness.”

  1. Gail, that quote hits different. Because it’s true. You have three choices. Leave. Change. Accept. That’s it. Everything else is just noise. Just suffering that you’re creating for yourself.

We spend so much time complaining about things we could be leaving. Or changing. Or just accepting and moving on. The quote just points to the door.

Thank you for reminding us. 💙

      • Gail, you’re right. Family changes everything. You can’t just leave. There’s too much history. Too much love underneath the pain.

So sometimes accept is the only choice that’s real. But even then—you can change how you move through it. Your boundaries. What you take in. What you let go of. You can’t change them, but you can change what you do with what they give you.

That’s not giving up. That’s wisdom. That’s protecting your own heart while staying connected.

You’re doing the hardest thing. 💙 And we there for you prayers and love Khadija ❤

      • Thank you. It’s a tough situation and hurts to the core. I’m treated as though I am not a member of the family. Totally disconnected, by their choice. I have tried repeatedly and still get shut out. ❤️‍🩹💦

      • But this what you’re feeling right now, what you’re saying here this is you staying alive. Staying real. Not becoming numb. That’s not weakness. That’s the bravest thing. You deserve to be seen. Even if they can’t do it yet. ❤️Huge ❤️
