There’s a lot of quiet wisdom in that Yamanouchi line. Some of our most meaningful trips grew out of plans that fell apart first, the missed train or the closed road that quietly pointed us somewhere better. A good reminder to stay open when things don’t go as scripted. Thank you for sharing it, Gail.

Yes… the toilet clog from h*ll taught me a lot and led to me learning another repair will be far less expensive than feared. Oversleeping left me in the bedroom, where I heard weird sounds and discovered my surge protector smoking and seconds from flames – if not there, I literally could have lost my house (and about 6 cats). Dead car battery = discovered a nice repair shop and my gas mileage increased by 25% (who knew?).
Gotta find the blessings in the trials!
